Sarah McLellan’s book ‘Make it Human’ is a go to guide for all things work and people! It’s subtitle is ‘A vision for happier, healthier, more human workplaces’; and for someone whose vision it is to bring the importance of employee engagement, positive work cultures, employee empowerment and growth to the fore, this is like a how to guide.

Combining research, real life examples and exercises to reflect upon, implement and share, this really is more than just a book. It is a call to arms, a rallying cry for anyone who recognises the backstep some companies have taken in attitude and the refusal by some to see the value of employee engagement beyond financial benefit.
Culture, work life balance, flexible working, employee empowerment and engagement, growth… is it too much to ask for?
I really enjoyed this book (if you can’t tell). It’s written in a way that is engaging, interesting, full of facts and provides new approaches to how we work with and support each other. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who wants to create more human healthy working environments, or just wants to find healthier ways to work with others.
